Ashtanga vinyasa is a dynamic practice of yoga, that refers to the linking postures that allow one pose to flow into the next, creating a continuous and smooth movements. Ashtanga yoga is the ancient eight limbed science, these eight limbs are described as: abstinences (Yama), observances (Niyama), postures (Asana), breath control (Pranayama), sense withdrawal (Pratyahara), concentration (Dharana), meditation (Dhyana), and contemplation (Samadhi).
Ashtanga viniyasa utilizes the synchronization of breath and body movement along with bandhas(internal locks) and mudras (points of concentration) in Viniyasa (flow), that generate an internal agni (fire) or heat. Through continuos and regular practice the internal heat eliminates the toxins out and increase the circulation of rich blood, nourish the internal organs and strnghting the immune system with smooth functioning of digestive, endocrine and nervous system.
