Bindu is defined in yoga as the centre of cosmos and the reason behind its manifestation. Sar is the essence and expansion of bindu or universal consciousness. Bindu is the eight chakra described in Shakta tantra school, located as the back of the head. This centre is said to be where the bindu fluid (som ras) is produced, a fluid that can become either the nectar of immortality, or the poison of death. In short we can say bindu is the center where micro cosmos assimilates with macro cosmos.
Bindusar is the yoga style that combines yoga and jyotish (astrology) principles together. At the core yoga is an understanding and practice of how energy operates in us in respect to body, mind and soul. It develops the harmony among them. Astrology deals with energies that help us to express ourselves, to relate, and our social needs, helps to eliminate the obstacles to bring harmony in life.
Bindusar yoga is study of five elements and its product like planets and chakras. Physical yoga benefits us in terms of our physiology and psychology while astrology explains metaphysical influences on ourselves. Each chakra in man communicates with a particular planet and shares the energy with it. That’s why the planetary movements affect the energies in chakras which upset the momentum of physical, psychological, emotional and social level.
In Bindusar system of yoga, the practice of asanas , pranayamas and other techniques are customized along with other measures from tantra yoga according to the need of individual on basis of planetary influences constituting and existing on him, so that a proper development and harmony can achieved in all areas of life that includes personal, spiritual and material aspects.
